So far using the included ArcSoft TotalMedia software works much better then Windows Media Center. I assume this is some kind of encryption that Comcast has added to prevent me (us) from using their digital cable channels without having a digital cable subscription. It also picked up 70 other cable channels that were locked. There are about 6 of these 28 channels that are in HD. However, there are a couple other non-over-the-air channels like the Weather channel that I get through the cable connection. Most of them are the local broadcast channels.
